I'm researching family history, my parents names are Sykes and Kitchener, both from mining families.
My wife's father had the surname Coles, also from a mining family.
Recently visited cemeteries in the area, I was very impressed by the Hickleton Main Colliery Miners Memorial in Thurnscoe Cemetery.
My Great Grandad Thomas Kitchener is listed.
If anyone has any connection or information on these Surnames, it would be great to hear from you.
