its a great feeling to see yourself on the internet. I am one of the pupils unveiling the memorial and i thought it was a experiance among all. I’m the one in the Black and red coat ( the odd one out to the pupils of The Hill School). That poem at the bottom is mine. Yippee. A special thanks to Pete Shields for making that day possible for me.

An amazingly fast, friendly and accurate response. Many thanks. I can now track the elusive Toolans and Laytons one step further.

Many thanks to Peter Shields for helping me track down where our family burial sites are at Bolton-Upon-Dearne Cemetery. Its nice to get the information we required for free without having to pay vast amounts of money for search fees... Thanks once again.

I used to play in this cemetery when I was but a wee lad visiting my grandma. A beautiful cemetery, to be sure.

I found your website while trawling the web. I am from Goldthorpe originally. I was born in 1944. I am interested to know if the male choir pictured on the website is The Thurnscoe Male Voice Choir as my brother-in-law, Ernest Frederick Smith was a member many years ago.
