What an absolutely fantastic job you have done in creating this site. I have spent years trawling through Parish Registers in libraries trying to find information for my family tree and your site has given me everything I need to know about my relatives in a couple of hours and at a very reasonable cost.
A very very big THANKYOU for your hard work and dedication.
Could you tell me, which part of Thurgoland Cemetry is
Benjamin Raynor and Harriett Raynor buried.
Thank you John .
They are in Grave No 478
Hi Peter , sorry to bother you again . Is there a plan of the numbered graves in Thurgoland cemetry. Thanks John .
I havnt got one but I will drop by the Crematorium Office and get one, I will email it to you.
Hi Peter,I am trying to help a friend locate the grave of her Great Grandmother. She is Mary Craven who died in the Apr Qtr of 1911.Possibly at 26 George Street Low Valley Wombwell.Other members of the family are buried at Darfield Cemetery but cant find where Mary is buried.Thankyou Val
I dont have a Mary Craven in any of the Barnsley Cemeteries, or Hoyland St Peters Churchyard, All Saints Darfield, St Helens Thurnscoe or St Andrews Churchyard Bolton-on-Dearne, she must be either in another Churchyard or Cremated at whichever was in use in 1911, Sorry Flower.
Thankyou for checking Peter. Were there cremations in 1911?
Hi Peter ,Have only checked burials for Darfield Cemetery concerning the name Craven for my friend.I never thought of the churchyard. Is that the one down the side of Foulstone School in Darfield?Do you know if there are any Cravens in the Churchyard.Thankyou
There are no Cravens in All Saints Churchyard Darfield, they enden burials in 1900.
Hi Peter I wondered if you may know the answer to my question? I am looking for an exact death date of Sarah Firth born 1905 Barnsley died June 1954 ,buried at Monk Bretton Cemetery. Her husband Charles Henry Firth was buried with her at section N/29 Monk Bretton Cemetery ,he died Feb 1970 but in Bradford. As we do not have a definite death date for him, will he have had to be registered in Bradford although buried in Barnsley?
I dont have any date of deaths in the Monk Bretton Index.
If Charles died in Bradford his family either registered him there or their nearest Registras Office.
Thanks Peter I have ordered both death certificates. The one from Bradford has arrived today, only ordered Tuesday by phone.Charles Henry Firth died 17 Feb 1970 Bolton Woods Bradford.I ordered Sarahs at Barnsley and have to wait while next Monday to pick up.Thankyou for looking anyway
I had a look on Genes Reunited at the Death records for 1970 there is no record of a Charles Henry Firth, I found Sarah but it didnt give a date of Death.
